2nd Grade
Elizabeth Hogue
Elizabeth Hogue was born and raised in Kettering, OH. She is a graduate of Chaminade Julienne H.S. and was part of the 1999 State Championship basketball team. After high school, Elizabeth attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN where she continued her basketball career until she enrolled in the police academy. Elizabeth has been serving as a law enforcement officer for the last 18 years and she is currently a detective for the Huber Heights Police Division. Elizabeth is married with two daughters, Sophia, 7, and Audrey, 9 and they are both playing in the JLK program for their first season.
3rd Grade Gold
Jesse Brand
Jesse has been coaching basketball for the past 13 years from recreational to high school aged AAU. Jesse has coached with the JLK program for the past 4 years and with the SDK program 5 years prior to that. Jesse is an excellent fundamentals coach. His main goals for this season are teaching the basics and following through with the basics in the game setting.
3rd Grade White
Courtney Strauser
Courtney is returning for her sixth season coaching in the JLK program after a three year sabatical . Courtney is a basketball enthusiast from a basketball family, and has been around the game her entire life. A former forward/center, she has played at the college level (locally for Sinclair, and NCAA Division 2 St. Joseph’s College). Courtney is also an AAU Basketball Coach with Ohio Premier Basketball. She has formally coached for Dayton Metro and B All In. She takes pride in her experiences and being able to coach, teach, and promote basketball as a camp counselor, rec trainer, and during her employment as a juvenile counselor/probation officer. She looks forward to another year of coaching and is dedicated to each individual player’s development.

4th Grade
Mike Shumaker
Mike has lived in the greater Dayton area for 15 years now after attending UD for grad school. He and his wife, Julia have 3 kids. Lana 12, Mya 10, and Cora 8 that attend Incarnation and participate with JLK.
This is Mike's second year as a head coach after serving as an assistant the previous two seasons.
5th Grade
James Davis
James has been involved in some capacity with JLK since his oldest daughter joined the program in 2015. With five active children, his coaching stints have spanned recreational and competitive basketball, soccer, softball, baseball, flag football, and volleyball. For the past four seasons he has taken on a coaching role with JLK, either with individual teams or the Lil’ Dribblers program. This year he is looking forward to bringing all the fifth graders together as one team as they continue their development as competitive athletes. When not coaching, you may find James sitting on a gym floor snapping photos of any of our Junior Lady Knights teams.
6th Grade
Mickey Nuzzolese
Mickey returns to JLK for her 4th year with the Class of 2029. Mickey is originally from Jackson, Michigan and moved to Dayton to pursue her undergraduate degree. She went to the University of Dayton to run cross country and track and field and completed a bachelors degree. She then decided she loved the University of Dayton and did not want to leave! She now works in the Athletics Department at UD as the Assistant Director of Compliance. She has coached several teams since high school of grades ranging 3rd to 8th of boys and girls with the most recent being with Dayton Metro and Team Ohio.

7th Grade
Rob Carruth
Rob returns this year for his 10th season coaching with the program. Rob has coached basketball, soccer, and baseball from youth recreational levels through high school for over 30 years. Rob is President of the Junior Lady Knights, a Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach, and a USA Basketball Licensed Coach. Rob has also coached for South Dayton Knights, Dayton Lady Hoopstars, Team Ohio, and Dayton Metro, including a 2019 3rd Grade Division 1 AAU National Final Four. This is Rob's 13th year in the program. Rob is looking forward to working with the Class of 2029!
8th Grade
